An Evening Out With The Bosses

Last night, I broke my fast with my new colleagues. The bosses wanted to treat us, but we had to do it for dinner due to Ramadhan month.

We just went on about our normal day when J*ssie came up to see me so that she can check the drawings that we have so far. Little that I know that she would drag the discussion until it was 6 o'clock in the evening. We were supposed to leave the office at 4.30 pm.

It was already 6, we decided that we wanted to get out of the office and just roam around The* C*urve until it was time for Maghri*b prayers, but as soon as we arrived at the junction, it jammed packed with cars.

So we made a detour and head for the bazaar instead. We thought that it will be nice just to get some '"kuih-muih" and also to kill some time since it was still too early to go to the mosque.

It was almost 7 o'clock when we left the bazaar. So we head to the mosque which was quite near to the place we are having dinner. When we arrived at the restaurant, I was genuinely shocked at how packed it was. There were so many people having dinner there and the atmosphere was so alive.

The dinner lasted till about 9 pm. I definitely had a great time getting to know the new bosses and colleagues. And the food was really good. Nyonya-style cooking is somewhat similar to Malay-cooking which always hit the right spot.

Hopefully, we can do this more often. I always believe that if you have a good relationship with the people you are working with, the work gets done so much easier. After all communication is key in everything that we do in life, don't you agree??

Note: Ramadhan is going to be over soon. It was so quick this year, like where did the time go???

Till next time,

XOXO
