Almost 2 Weeks..

After almost 2 weeks of working...
i'm finally working in full blast mode...
last week was more waiting around for work than actually doing them.
it was all because my boss haven't come back from his holidays..
and i had to wait since i haven't been assigned to any group yet..

so now..
i'm assigned under Variation Order group..
so my work involves remeasuring the earthwork quantities due to discrepancies on site..
biaselah keadaan tanah nie..very unpredictable..

last time in class..
measurement is done manually..
we have drawings, calculator and scale rule to assist us in measuring the quantities..
however..
at the office..
measurement is a lot easier..
sbb guna autocad..
autocad nie software yg diguna pakai oleh arkitek..
tp juga boleh digunakan untuk mengukur kuantiti...
(wah! formalnyer~)

it was alot easier..
in one day..i can take off up to 50 cross sections..
which is alot by the way..
and i dont have to stayback as late...

but..
my office hours is longer than usual..
people normally starts at 8.30 or 9 and end their day at 5 or 5.30..
however..
for my office..
the day starts at 8.30 and ends at 6.00pm..

tp..
i'm usually early cuz nak avoid congestion..
so i normally would arrive at the office at 8..and i go home at 6.45 or 7..
lamakan?? ckp xrajin lagi..xtau laa..
huhu..

anyways..that's all for now..

Back to Basics..

No..

this is not a review on Christina Aguilera's album..
i had a topic in mind..
and thought that i would be a catchy title for this round's entry..

while i wait for the respond from the company i applied for a job..
i had a lot of time on my hands..
i watched tv..facebooking..chatting..
all the normal stuff i would normally do to fill my day..

but..
i got tired..
of doing the same thing everyday..

i do poker on FB a lot..
but it's starting to be boring..
same thing over and over again...

i search the web for something else to play...
after so many sites of searching..
i finally encountered..


MARIO!



it has been ages since i played this game..
we use to play on SEGA..

but i presume..
kids nowadays wouldn't know what a SEGA is...
all they know is playstation..Nintendo Wii and x-Box..
if we ever mentioned SEGA to them..
that would be like..

what???
(with a puzzled face of course)



Back to the topic..
this game hooked me..
i played it almost non-stop..

since i am not such a competent game player..
it took me a while to reach higher levels..
i am always stuck..

i guess playing the game took me back to my younger days..
i think most kids born in the 80's can relate to this..
when playing..
i get to reminisces old times when i used to play it with my brothers..
and how life was so much less complicated then now..

it's good to get back in touch with your roots..
take time to get in touch with the kid inside you...
~go back to basics~

it's HIGHLY recommended!

Change of plans

in my last entry....

i said that i might be posted to some site....
but after going through the interview last Tuesday..
it looks like i'm staying put..

i will be placed in the HQ at Damansara Jaya..
i am very..
very familiar with this place..

i had my practical there..
unfortunately..
i wont be meeting the same people bcuz i'm placed at different building this time..

tp xpe..
new people..new culture..new experience..
adapting to new environment is what life's all about..

not to mention the diverse culture in the office
would be a challenge i have to overcome..
is a day to day battle i would say..

but when we mingle with different individuals
we would tend to agree and disagree..
this way we can learn how to be flexible, accept people the way they are and try not change them...
i learnt this the hard way..

not to say it caused me troubles..
but it certainly made me look at things differently..

so back to the topic..

1st june 2009
which happens to be a Monday..
and dad's birthday...
