Europe 2017 - Part 5
29 June 2017
We packed our stuff early today, we wanted to start our journey down south to our next destination Dijon, France. It will be our first camping spot where we actually had to sleep in the tent. I was definitely nervous, thinking that its been so long since I last slept in a tent.
But, before heading there, we stopped by a town called Troyes. Its a starting point for the Le-Tour-De-France if I wasn't mistaken. Troyes is small town, charming with its olden buildings. I certainly fell in love with its architecture, which I didn't see when I was in Paris. Don't get me wrong, Paris is lovely, it did live-up to its name of being the city of love.. but, I personally wasn't a big fan of big city anyways.
Beautiful isn't it??
So after exploring the town for a bit, we packed lunch and ate in the car as we didnt want to reach the campsite too late. We still have our tents to figure out. After about a few hours of driving, we reached our campsite Bligny-Sur-Ouche (had no idea how to pronounce that haha).
It started raining on us when we finally decided on our tent spot. And it wasn't normal showers, it was hail stone! I haven't experienced this type of rain since I was a little girl. It was an exhilarating experience, eventhough it only lasted for about 10 minutes.
"Hujan batu di negeri orang"
We resumed setting up our tent, while ibu started cooking for our dinner. We bought our supplies when we were in Paris. Its always easier to find Halal meat when we are in a big city. We didn't do much after that because we were busy admiring our tents, which is successfully standing upright by the way.
Seeing adik Zharif setting up the tent, brings back memories in 95' when he was just a baby. We have come full circle.
