Europe 2017 - Part 1

After what seems like 3 years of planning, cancelling, planning and cancelling again we finally had the chance to go for a Europe Trip.

But this time, of course it was a cycling trip as well. But we managed to pull it off, together with additional family members --- kak ngah's family.

Like all Zamri's Clan family travelling traditions... this too has its own drama... this can be expected because we were using the standby ticket... Farhan was closely monitoring the ticket availability. We were travelling in a large group, so this was a crucial step.

We were planning to travel on the 2nd Day of Eid, which was 26th of June 2017. On the 24th, we went back to Kuala Pilah for first day of Eid, like we always do. But we received a call from Farhan telling us it was full flight. After serious talks and considerations, we said --- ok..screw it... we fly on the 25th Morning!

Had no choice but to travel back to KL that night itself, so that we can finish all the last minute packing. Since it was also our first time camping after all these years... we had a lot to bring... tent, inflatable bed & pillow, sleeping bags, cooking utensils, bicycle, and of course our luggage. (Mind you... it was a challenge in itself to pack all those stuff and trying to stay within 30kgs per pax -- but like everything else, we pulled it off)

25 June 2017

5.30am --- we arrived at KLIA, with all the things and the boys went over to the counter to get our boarding passes. By 6am, we got it! (Tip! send the boys to the counter....because somehow... it will guarantee the flight... magic innit???)

So, we arrived in London after 13hours flight, and it still was the 25th, we had to book an extra night at the hotel rooms we previously had booked. Lucky for us, the rooms were available since its summer and the risk of it being full was high. Some of us waited at the airport with the luggage, while the rest went over to the car rental to see if it was ok for us to also add another day. But we weren't so lucky this time. The cars that we wanted was not available until tomorrow -- so we decided to Uber to our hotel. (thank god for e-hailing services nowadays... made our lives much easier)

We checked into Staycity Aparthotels in Hayes, which was nearby the airport. We had no car then, but alhamdulillah...Halal food was easy to get there. It was near the Masjid, so a lot of halal food was available.
